Hydrozole Cream is a prescription topical medicine manufactured by Haleon (formerly part of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). It contains two active ingredients: Clotrimazole 1%, an antifungal agent, and Hydrocortisone 1%, a mild corticosteroid. This combination is used to treat fungal skin infections accompanied by inflammation, redness, itching, and irritation.

Clotrimazole works by stopping the growth of fungi that cause skin infections, while hydrocortisone helps reduce redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort. Together, these ingredients provide relief from both the infection and the inflammatory symptoms associated with it.

Hydrozole Cream is commonly prescribed for conditions such as:

• Athlete’s foot (Tinea pedis)
• Ringworm (Tinea corporis)
• Jock itch (Tinea cruris)
• Candidal skin infections
• Inflamed fungal skin rashes
• Other superficial fungal infections with itching and redness

The cream should be applied as a thin layer to clean, dry skin exactly as directed by a healthcare professional. Treatment usually continues for the prescribed duration, even if symptoms improve earlier, to help prevent recurrence. Because Hydrozole contains a corticosteroid, it should not be used continuously for prolonged periods unless specifically advised by a doctor. Long-term or excessive use may lead to skin thinning and other steroid-related side effects.
