About the Doctor

Prof. Dr. Azer Rashid is one of Pakistan’s most distinguished Dermatologists and Cosmetologists, based in Peshawar. With more than 40 years of clinical experience and over 30 years of academic service, he is widely recognized for his expertise in clinical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, laser treatments, and medical education. He currently serves as Consultant & Head of the Department of Dermatology at Rehman Medical Institute (RMI), Peshawar.

Prof. Dr. Azer Rashid earned his MBBS, followed by a Diploma in Dermatology (London), M.Sc. in Clinical Dermatology (Glasgow), Ph.D. in Dermatology (Glasgow), and FRCP (Glasgow). His advanced international qualifications, combined with decades of clinical practice, have established him as one of the leading dermatology specialists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Throughout his career, Prof. Dr. Rashid has managed a wide range of skin, hair, and nail disorders. Patients consult him for conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, fungal skin infections, vitiligo, dermatitis, pigmentation disorders, hair loss, nail diseases, skin allergies, and sexually transmitted infections affecting the skin. He also has extensive experience in cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology, offering modern procedures to improve skin appearance and treat scars and pigmentation problems.

His clinical interests include laser dermatology, chemical peels, microneedling, cryotherapy, electrocautery, mole and wart removal, acne scar treatment, PRP therapy, HydraFacial, and other minimally invasive aesthetic procedures. He combines evidence-based medical treatment with advanced dermatological technologies to provide individualized care for each patient.

In addition to his clinical work, Prof. Dr. Azer Rashid has made significant contributions to medical education and dermatology research. He has published numerous scientific papers in national and international journals and has been invited as a speaker at various medical conferences. During his academic career, he has served as Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Khyber Medical College (KMC), held leadership positions at Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) and Khyber Medical University (KMU), and served as an advisor to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission. He has also held leadership roles within national and international dermatology organizations, including serving as President of the Pakistan Association of Dermatologists.
